As someone who paid over $30,000 (that is not a typo) to Uncle Sam this past year, I offer you my condolences. I would be so beside myself, nay! bereft with, nay! fraught with anxiety over how to spend the check, it would probably all have to go straight towards a month's supply of xanax.

Also, I'm bitter about having to pay the IRS. Thanks self-employment and passive income. You're <strike>motherfucking bitches</strike> pals.

Already have a car-I feel it's irresponsible, not to mention impracticle, to own a scooter (in Portland) as well. It's why I don't own an Xbox. I already have a PS2, and a GC was bought for me as a present-to contribute to that greed bothers me.

I have not forgotten the South, m'lady, but the homeless is the homeless, wherever you are. Still, I will take your advice and make sure I support the relief efforts that continue to go on there, as well as those in the PacNW.

I also convey my sympathies to those who have bills. I have been in your shoes, and am fortunate, at this point, that I can do what I'm doing.

The friends for drinks thing sounds very pleasing. Perhaps I'll announce something here, although I don't think anyone else is in Portland, and buy the first couple rounds for whomever.

I got $1400 back (and I could've gotten a hundred or so more if I had remembered to decuct the interest on my student loan payments.) Of course, it's all gone now, as it went to purchase a big, shiny rock for someone's finger.

As for suggestions: take that six hundred bone and buy yourself a nice scooter or moped. Oil is gonna hit $100 a barrel before the end of this year.

Leave it to my mom to think of something nice. Here are my selfish ideas: concert tickets, sporting event tickets, Nintendo DS lite, mp3 player, XM radio, save for a vacation, whole lot of beer, dvd box sets, tons of video games, take friends out for drinks. That's all I've got right now.

I wish my bills left me with $550 extra. The trials of owning a house: you get a big tax return but it goes right back into the house or paying your sister back for a trip to the wine country. argh.
