here is how I really wanted to answer the questionnaire:

1. How many televisions do you have in your home? 2

2. Do you have cable or satellite? neither

3. Do you subscribe to TiVo, or some other recording service? no

4. How many hours per day do you spend watching TV? <1

5. Have you ever missed any TV programs that you are interested in? yes? doi?

6. Do you feel frustrated when you miss the TV show that you are interested in? mildly

7. Have you ever considered recording your favorite TV show? yes, but only when I'm feeling especially feisty

8. Would you consider subscribing to a TV program reminder service which helps you remember when your show is on? sure

9. In what format would you like this reminder services to be delivered? someone comes to my house and rings my doorbell

10. Would you find a calendar of your favorite shows helpful? mayhaps

How do you feel about websites that allow you to customize content? likey

What is a reasonable reminding period for you to be able to get a reminder about a TV show and be able to make plans to watch the show or record it? 8 hours

Would you watch shows that your friends recommended? a qualified yes

Do you use Outlook, ICal, or another calendar program to keep track of your appointments and meetings? no. I have a big brain.

Do you keep a calendar program on a PDA or other handheld device? where I come from "PDA" + "handheld device" = arrested for public lewdness

Do you use RSS feeds to keep track of news, weather, sports, or other information? um, hello, yes, for years. I'm Gen XY, doi.

Do you ever buy DVDs of your favorite television programs? Yes, but purchasing the must-see crap of the year "Carnivale" has recently made me think better of doing that.

Again, thanks ya’ll. This is for an “information service” we’re designing for class. Fun. Oh fun. The best part is the budget and user research, which is to say, not fun at all. Grumble grumble.
