Kables introduced me awhile ago to a blog this girl does that is at the same time both intelligent and interesting. I was browsing it recently and found myself pulled into an entry that showed a UK ranking of drugs by how dangerous they are. From there I saw she had a really fun link to a lesson on how drugs chemically react with your brain. Check it out, it’s fun and educational!

That “girl” is danah boyd [sic], a researcher for Yahoo! and a Berkeley Ph.d student. She’s one of the leading thinkers on social software, has been interviewed by Bill O’Reilly, and is known for wearing funny hats. Her research was particularly influential on some ethnographic research I did into “older” MySpace users last spring.

Just giving her her due.

Yeah, I knew most of that about her, but haven’t you figured out yet that my entries show how lazy I am which includes too lazy to elaborate on who she is.
