My mom is a tutor and has a new website. To help Google along, here’s a shameless plug/link thingie:
Karen’s In-Home Tutoring is the best tutoring business in all of Washougal, Camas, and SW Washington.
Do your work, oh search engine overlord.

Thank you, oh awesome one! I thought about asking you to do that, but didn’t want to take advantage of the relationship. I owe you big….oh, wait, I think I already paid you in diaper changes. Love ya.
I could use some tutoring in study/organization skills like bad. My desk makes me unproductive just by looking at it.
So in terms of SEO, how important is the link text? Suppose your Mom wants Googlers to get to her site when they type “Karen’s Tutoring”, but also when they type “Camas tutoring”. Then would she want half of the links to her site to say the former, and half the latter, thereby distributing her Google power equally between the two phrases? Or can you somehow get a single link to count towards more than one keyword/keyphrase?
I’m not sure it matters too much at this point, given we’re the only link to the site.
