Yes you heard it here folks, I have to get partial dentures. As a matter of fact I’m picking them up in about 3 hours. Why do I have to get partial dentures? Because my root canal from three years ago that I purchased a really expensive, didn’t actually have to money to buy, crown for broke. Yep that’s right my tooth broke INSIDE my crown. How does that happen you ask?  Beats the hell out of me. I went to the dentist one day because my crown felt loose when I was eating over the weekend. I thought they would take it off put some spackle or whatever it is they use to put those things in place and then I would be on my way.  OH NO…my tooth had broken in side of it which meant they needed to pull it so that I could either get a bridge or an implant. I nearly cried in the dentist chair. What do you mean my tooth broke, inside a crown? That can’t be true it just can’t!!!!  I was a bundle of emotions. At that time all I could think is I’m about to fly out of town for a business trip and I won’t have a tooth. This can’t be happening. Luckily my dentist is a genius and awesome so she did some work to the partial leftover tooth that was still there and glued the crown back on. For weeks I was on a soft foods diet and didn’t really chew on that side of my mouth for fear the thing would pop out.So last Friday I went to the dentist and had my tooth pulled in preparation for getting an implant in the future. (Why not get one right now? Because they are hella expensive and dental insurance doesn’t always cover them, so I need to put a little money way before that happens). In the mean time I will have a partial denture in the space so that the other teeth do not cave into the hole and so the bottom tooth doesn’t climb up to the top which they will do to fill the space. That is the story of how I went from 29 to over 60 all in just a month!Happy Thursday!
